SERVICES
MAKING AN APPOINTMENT
NHS funding to provide our services ends on 30th June 2024. We need your help to deliver these vital services from 1st July 2024.
You can still arrange to see our youth workers in Drop In, book onto our group workshops online, access 3-in-1 sexual health support when Drop In is open or book a telephone support slot. Our other services cannot take any new referrals unless further funding is secured.
YOUTH WORK
The Market Place offers a range of Youth Work support through our Drop-In, My Plan and Group work sessions.
COUNSELLING
Our counselling team are here to give you the time and space to explore any issues that may be bothering you.
DROP-IN & TELEPHONE SUPPORT
We provide a safe space for young people aged 11- 25 to talk either over the phone or face-to-face in an informal open plan space.
GROUP WORK
Peer support through group work is another key service of The Market Place and we offer a number of groups for young people.
SEXUAL HEALTH
We offer three main sexual health services; condoms and c-card, pregnancy testing and sexual health testing (Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea).
USEFUL LINKS
There are lots of other organisations and charities locally and nationally who offer services for Young People that you may find helpful.
SAFEGUARDING
CONFIDENTIALITY
All of our services are subject to our confidentiality policy. This means we will not normally give out information about you to anyone outside the project, without your agreement. This includes not telling anything to your parents or guardians, the police, social workers or anyone else. There may however be times when we will need to share information within The Market Place.
The only time we would give out information about you without your agreement is if you, or anyone else, are in serious danger or at risk of harm. We would always try to discuss it with you before giving out any information.
If you are not sure about any of this or would like to know more about it please ask one of the workers.
