Connect is a telephone helpline open 6pm – 2am every night of the year for people living in Leeds. The service provides emotional support and information for people in distress.

Teen Connect (11 to 18 years)

Teen Connect is a helpline for 11-18 year-olds living in the Leeds area.  They offer up to an hour of support either by phone or online chat. The helpline is open 6pm-2am every night.

SafeZone (ages 11-17 & parents/carers)

Safe Zone is a mental health crisis support service for anyone living in Leeds, aged 11–17, and their parents/carers, who need someone to talk to a safe and confidential setting. Available Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please see more information via the link.

Night Owls

Night OWLS is a confidential support line for children, young people, their parents and carers who live in Bradford, Leeds, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. Available 8pm–8am every day for children, young people, parents and carers across West Yorkshire.

Women's Counselling and Therapy Service  (WCTS) 

WCTS offers a free or low cost accessible counselling and psychotherapy for Leeds women and girls on low incomes. Venues are in the city centre and in communities around Leeds. If you are 16 or 17 and would like to refer yourself for counselling, please complete their online referral form.

Childline is there to help anyone under 19 in the UK with any issue they’re going through. Whether it’s something big or small, trained counsellors are there to support you.
